{31} Weeks

How far along: 31 Weeks
Weeks to go: 9. Single digits. What. Seriously. What?!
Baby is the size of: A coconut
Gender Prediction: Girl
Weight gain: 28 lbs
Symptoms: Swollen ankles, restless sleep,
Mood: Yikes - not good. Psycho would probably be a good descriptor of my mood this week. I've also cried a lot -- I love being pregnant and it coming to an end is bittersweet. I'm also clinging to these final weeks with the boy who has consumed half my heart for the past 2.5 years and can't help but wonder how greatly his world is about to change.
Maternity clothes: Literally tearing at the seams. My coat is NOT acceptable, but I refuse to replace it at this point. I'm not sure it keeps any cold air off of me. Nick's tshirts no longer cover my belly either.
Cravings: MILK (seriously, I should just buy a cow), Orange Juice, Cottage Cheese, Sweets, Fruit
Aversions: None.
Sleep: Not so bad this week! Trice is getting his 2 year old molars and Hylands natural teething gel is his best friend (and mine!) He's been going to sleep much easier!
Movement: Holy manoly!! This baby is WAY more active than Trice was. Getting lots of ninja kicks to the ribs! My bladder is taking some serious abuse.
Labor Signs: Not as many Braxton Hicks contractions this week.
Best moment this week: Having my best friend and her girls over for supper! I just love them and still can't believe they are going to leave us..  :( Trice also had his first Valentine's Day party which was way too precious. Shopping for baby stuff! Wooohoo!
Worst moment this week: Probably my dad getting the stomach flu/shingles. Even though he drives me crazy sometimes, the days get really long when he doesn't stop by at 4pm.. and it's a lot harder to cook supper, too! ;)
Miss anything: Just really missing my tshirts! And having a pop on a rare occasion. And eating raw cookie dough/brownie batter.
Trice's Thoughts this Week: Before he climbs in bed, he always has to touch my belly and give baby a hug and a kiss. One night I wasn't home for bedtime so he insisted on touching Nick's belly. He said, "Daddy, how did your baby come out?" Nick said, "I don't have a baby, buddy." Trice said, "Yes you do. Mommy's baby came out of her lap." Nick finally gave in and said his did, too. Then Trice said, "Your belly is kind of different than mommy's. Hers is streeeetcchy!" After my appointment, Nick asked Trice was baby's heartbeat sounded like. "Raaaaawr." Apparently we are having a dinosaur.
Appt Notes: Heartbeat - 160. Measuring at 32 weeks. Signed Vbac papers - woohoo! Except I accidentally signed that I want a repeat csection so I have to resign them next time - whoops! Everything else is looking great!

{30} Weeks

How far along: 30 Weeks
                                                                    Weeks to go: 10.
Baby is the size of:
Gender Prediction: Girl
Weight gain: ??
Symptoms: Charlie Horses .. I experienced these for the first time in my life when I was pregnant with Trice..
Mood: Serious mood swings. Just ask Nick. Yikes!! One night I was just bawling my eyes out while unloading the dishwasher. Trice kept hugging and kissing me saying, "It ok to be sad, mommy. I sad sometimes." (We talk about feelings a lot and how they are TOTALLY okay .. it's nice to see he gets it)
Maternity clothes: Ripping at the seams. Literally. I shipped half of them off to the consignment shop this week.
Cravings: MILK!! Seriously, there is not enough milk in the world to satisfy my craving.
Aversions: Nothing.
Sleep: Not happening. Nope.. not at all.
Movement: Yowzers!! I love seeing all the movement... baby is an active one, for sure.
Labor Signs: Some serious Braxton Hicks action going on. Very painful and very often -- apparently this happens more with each pregnancy. Yikes!! I'm using them as opportunities to practice for the real thing. Ha!
Best moment this week: Going home to see our families one last time before baby arrives. I love being home!!
Worst moment this week: Nick got a staph infection that spread up his arm. He had to go to the hospital every day at 10am and 10pm for IV antibiotics. It was kind of exhausting .. and a little scary. We also had to cancel our free trip to the hotel so Trice and I were bummed. Oh, and that part where Trice projectile vomited all over our car TWICE during a 4 hour trip.. anyone want to clean up that mess?
Miss anything: Just being able to carry Trice without running out of breath in 5 seconds.. and missing him fitting on my lap.
Trice's Thoughts this Week: Lots and lots of hugs and kisses for baby. Still insists on naming baby "Motorcycle."
