{9} Weeks

How far along: 9 Weeks!
Weeks to go: 32.. give or take a few!
Baby is the size of: A Grape
Gender Prediction: Girl
Gender Reveal: Not until birth...
Weight gain: No idea!
Symptoms: Cramps, Round ligament pains, trouble sleeping, Leg cramps, sore gums
Starting to show yet?:  Unless there's a watermelon under my shirt, then yes - I am most definitely growing a baby!
Mood: Great! I feel pretty bad because my patience with Trice is taking a hit ... maybe that's just a mixture of his 2-year-old personality finally coming out and lack of sleep!
Maternity clothes: I spent 20 minutes every night trying to pick out an outfit that won't scream, "I'm pregnant!" So far I've been very unsuccessful. Can't wait to share this news and wear whatever I want!
Cravings: Fruit (pineapple, especially), Taco Salad, BREAKFAST (we've literally had eggs, hashbrowns, and bacon every day). Perkins - yes, please!!
Aversions: Taco Salad, Baked potatoes .. .see an issue here?
Belly button in or out: So far out it's never coming back .. and I mean.. ever.
Sleep: No longer napping when Trice naps, but I totally feel tired in the mornings!
Movement: None yet, obviously.
Labor Signs: Nope.
Best moment this week: Doing something kind for a friend (mysteriously) and knowing how much it made her and God smile, telling Trice about the baby, visiting the apple orchard!
Worst moment this week: Hearing that our friend lost her brother. I can't imagine the heart ache their family is going through.
Miss anything: Nope.
Trice's Thoughts this Week: This week we ended up telling Trice about the baby. I know everyone will have their own opinion on when/how you should let a toddler know, but we know our child and knew it was the right time. He was getting very curious and a little anxious about the conversations in our house lately and wanting people to repeat what they said. He picks up on EVERYTHING, so it was only a matter of time. We picked a good time to tell him (not having any clue what his reaction would be) and it went over great! Now he gives my belly 1,000 kisses/day, wishes baby night-night, and tells Jesus, "Thank you mommy baby in her belly. Amen." Break.My.Heart. His reaction was, "Where's the baby? I can't see it?" I told him baby has to grow in my tummy before he/she can come out. "Baby come out and I hold it and it play wif my trains." Later this week he said, "Baby might scream. Daddy have to feed it." he also told me, "I ate the baby. It's all gone now." He's also convinced that daddy has a baby in his tummy. "Lots of babies in here!" and our newest is that God lives in his tummy .. yikes!

{8) Weeks

How far along: 8 Weeks!
Weeks to go: 32.. give or take a few!
Baby is the size of: A
Gender Prediction: Girl
Gender Reveal: Not until birth...
Weight gain: No idea!
Starting to show yet?:  Well, baby literally popped out this past week .. to the point people were going around telling other people I was pregnant (without asking me) .. rude. Jk.. it was fine. We had hoped to not tell the world for a little longer, but this bump cannot be hidden so we have started telling more family and friends!
Mood: Pretty happy this week! No crazy hormonal outbursts toward my husband!
Maternity clothes: Still digging for that tub... I never stopped wearing some of my maternity clothes, so I know where they are .. but I need those non-button jeans, folks!
Cravings: PINEAPPLE, hard-boiled eggs, french fries, PB (per usual), hashbrowns, candy corn pumpkins (regular candy corn will not do...)
Aversions: ANYTHING Nick suggests for supper!
Belly button in or out: So far out it's never coming back .. and I mean.. ever.
Sleep: Not as exhausted this week! I've been good about napping when Trice naps so I have energy for the rest of the day.
Movement: None yet, obviously.
Labor Signs: Nope.
Best moment this week: Clay County fair, my aunt and uncle visiting for the weekend, Iowa State beating Iowa, noticing that little baby bump! Also my dad had the whole week off so he spent a lot of time with Trice. It's always nice to have an extra hand. Also - my dad's Birthday! Trice made him a card and helped me decorate the cake!!
Worst moment this week: Hearing that our friend lost her brother. I can't imagine the heart ache their family is going through.
Miss anything: Nope.
