{Halloween 2013}: Part One.

I do. Unfortunately. And so does Trice. It was evident when we announced, "It's pumpkin carving time!" after supper the other night...

He responded.. "What?! I thought I made myself clear. I will NOT go in that pumpkin. That's it. I'm outta here."

This makes me laugh hysterically because of how much I look like death and haven't showered in probably 3 days. I had only been back to work for a couple weeks, and I was probably so tired I could barely keep my eyes open. But hey, we carved a pumpkin anyway!

We're gearing up for Halloween week here. I know that Halloween is a sometimes controversial holiday. In all honesty, I don't like witches and goblins and gory/scary things. However, I do not see anything wrong with dressing up in harmless monkey costumes, carving pumpkins (what a great sensory experience for kiddos), and celebrating Fall! Trice's outfits for next week are all hanging in a row, ready to go. I'm kind of a freak about holidays .. and I don't plan on changing that anytime soon!

Anyway, we've had pumpkin pancakes and pumpkin bars .. but this morning, we decided to eat my favorite - candy corn - for breakfast!!

Trice approved.

Ignore disgusting high chair strap. I swear it only takes one meal to look like that. Focus on precious bed head.

We spent the morning at a Fall festival in town! It was a lot of fun - it will be more fun when he's a little older and can do more things. Although, I enjoyed the fact that I got to eat all his candy and cookies and popcorn. and... there were A LOT of kids there. Some super cute costumes. I took mental notes...

 Trice's official Halloween costume is not finished yet .. so he wore his monkey costume today! He also has 3 other costumes -- so I guess we'll play dress-up all week. This is what happens when your mommy likes garage sales.
